A little bit about me
I trained as a registered music therapist at the University of Melbourne in the 90’s and have always worked with babies, children & families. I worked for many years as the manager/senior clinician of the music therapy department at Monash Medical Centre in Clayton, working with premature and sick infants and young children with acute and chronic illness. I also worked for many years at the University of Melbourne as the coordinator of clinical training for the music therapy students, clinical tutor, and as a guest lecturer in music psychology, child clients and music therapy methods. Recently I launched a new online professional development website for music therapists called Music Therapy Online. You can check it out at www.musictherapyonline.org
As I’m a mum too I love working closer to home and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to work in line with my values at TLC Music. I’m very passionate about music in the early years and feel that music is a wonderful way to bring parents and their children together in a positive way - leading to life long benefits. I also believe music can deeply enhance our lives and adds so much to the wholistically developing child.
